Candied Pecans
They’re good year round…but especially near the holidays.
You'll Need:
1 pound - or about 5 cups -halved pecans
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch nutmeg
Whisk:
Egg white, water and vanilla until light and frothy
Mix:
Pecans and egg white concoction in a medium mixing bowl
Add:
Sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg
Mix well
Pour:
Mixture out onto a a baking sheet
Bake:
At 250F for about 50 minutes
Stir every 10 minutes
