Candied Pecans

They’re good year round…but especially near the holidays.

You'll Need:

  • 1 pound - or about 5 cups -halved pecans

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Pinch nutmeg


Whisk:

  • Egg white, water and vanilla until light and frothy


Mix:

  • Pecans and egg white concoction in a medium mixing bowl


Add:

  • Sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg

  • Mix well


Pour:

  • Mixture out onto a a baking sheet


Bake:

  • At 250F for about 50 minutes

  • Stir every 10 minutes
