Herbed Peasant Bread

It’s good with everything and is super easy to make.

You’ll Need:

3/4 c water

3/4 c milk

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1 tbsp yeast

1 tsp dried chopped rosemary

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 c olive oil

3 1/2 c all purpose flour

Mix

Water, milk and sugar together in a microwavable bowl

Heat

About 1 minute, until about 90-100F

Add

Yeast and stir well

Cover

And let yeast bloom for 15 minutes

Pour

Bloomed mixture into bowl of stand mixer fitted with dough hook attachment

Add

Dried herbs, salt, and olive oil and mix on medium speed

Slowly

Add flour about 1/4 cup at a time, mixing well

Mix

Until a smooth dough forms, dough may be sticky

Place

Dough into large bowl greased with olive oil

Cover

And let rise about 1 hour until dough has doubled

Remove

Dough from bowl and shape into two loaves

Place

Loaves onto pizza stone or parchment lined cookie sheet

Brush

With olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt

Cover

And let rise another 25 minutes

Place

Loaves into an oven preheated to 400F

Bake

For about 20-25 minutes
